This was a rebooking due to COVID. The hotel honoured our credit from 2020. The emails during this time were very supportive. (Thank you Lucy). The hotel is very central to the Chateau and an easy walk. Public parking is 50m behind the hotel and easy to access. (Note: However, as at June, 2022, there are roadworks in front of the hotel which may make access to the parking a little tricky). The reception staff were very helpful with our stay. Walking distance to many local restaurants. If you are going to the Chateau, there is a lovely Restaurant there with le menu. Food was fantastic in a lovely shaded outdoor garden setting.

The location is very good: near the castle, the main city square, the cathedral. It's just across the market (Halles Coeur de Maine), where you can choose from a large variety of dishes prepared in tiny restaurants. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful. For the welcoming drinks ticket we had 2 coffees at the hotel bar the next morning - it suited us well.

We came for a wedding at the cathedral close by. (And a reception at a chateau in the rural area.) It was a wonderful experience for us. Pleasant experience in general. (The fort and the tapestries were other highlights. I wanted to see the Lurcat tapestries and visit the universities as well, but our visit was too short.) We enjoyed the restaurants. Good breakfast at Ibis.

Daniel

Staff lovely. Me and the bike were filthy after a wet day on La Vélo Francette and the staff never turned a hair. Cleaners brilliant. Leave them a tip. Location great. Visit Les Halles opposite for great food and drink options.

Jon

Excellent breakfast, complete, varied, with local and foreign options. Pain, confiture, fromage. Calm canteen, with room to start the day well. Very much recommended
